Thomas W. Marlow

Thomas W. Marlow, 37, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:03 A. M., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Franklin Hospital Emergency Room in Benton, IL.

Thomas had been a Laborer at the Viking Mining Company in Akin, IL. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Ducks Unlimited Tim Bell Chapter, an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed stock car racing.

He was born December 12, 1977 at Du Quoin, the son of Douglas Heape and Erin Kay Marlow.

He married Crystal L. Kimmel on July 2, 1999 at Pinckneyville, IL and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, mother and father - Erin and Dean Holmes of Sunfield, father and mother-Douglas and Judy Heape of Tamaroa, grandmother - Peggy Holmes of Benton, grandparents - Don Heape and wife Anna of Tamaroa, brothers and sisters - Jim Holmes of Benton, Mary Stanhouse and husband John of Sunfield, Joseph Holmes of Sunfield, Lyle Heape of Du Quoin, Amanda McArthur of Du Quoin, Seth Heape and wife Paige of Du Quoin, mother and father-in-law - Jim and Faye Kimmel of Murphysboro, brother-in-law - James Kimmel and wife Dana of Murphysboro, fourteen nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Kay and Betty Marlow and Harold Holmes.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Joe Vancil officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to American Cancer Association or American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
