David Joseph Hoffman, Sr.

David Joseph Hoffman, Sr., 46, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:20 A.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

David had been a machine operator at Intertape Polymer Corp. He was of the Catholic faith. David enjoyed his Triumph motorcycle the Speed Triple, exotic fish and Blues Hockey.

He was born October 28, 1968 at Nashville, IL, the son of Clarence and Beverly (Szczeblewski) Hoffman.

He married LeAnn Marie Silvey at Paducah, KY and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one daughter - Crickett Simmons and husband Thomas Jr. of Du Quoin, one son - David Joseph Hoffman, Jr. and fiancÈ Celia Rodriguez of Du Quoin, his parents - Clarence and Beverly Hoffman of Du Quoin, five grandchildren - Taylor D. Simmons, Tori L. Simmons, Thomas R. Simmons III, Emma Lee Hoffman and Dahlia F. Hoffman, all of Du Quoin, five siblings - Dwain Hoffman, Gary Hoffman, Don Hoffman, Donna Erb, and Gene Hoffman.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with family and friends conducting the service.

Friends may call from 4 P.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the family with donations being made to LeAnn Hoffman and will be accepted at the funeral home.
