Terry Ann Shockley

Terry Ann Shockley, 67, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Terry had been a homemaker. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born Jan. 2, 1948 at East St. Louis, Ill., the daughter of Clyde E. and Mabel J. (Sellinger) Newton.

She married Donald E. Shockley Sr. on Dec. 1, 1972 at Columbia, Ill. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, two children - Donna Lively and husband Russell of Du Quoin and Donnie Shockley and wife Alisha of Pinckneyville, one step son - Jason Shockley of West Frankfort, one brother - Kevin Newton of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren - Megan Lively of Du Quoin, Karli Shockley and Ian Shockley, both of Pinckneyville, Jaron Shockley, Breanna Shockley, Robert Shockley and Syaria Harmon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Rob Mathis officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund or Celtic Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
