Elvira Morgan

Elvira Morgan, 75, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:48 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at the Harrisburg Medical Center at Harrisburg, Ill.

Elvira had been a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born June 5, 1937 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Salathiel L. and Mary H. (Storey) Quinn.

She married Donald Eugene Morgan on Nov. 6, 1954 at Corinth, Miss. and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2011.

She is survived by one sister - Roberta Waller of Du Quoin, one brother - Salathiel Quinn Jr. of Du Quoin, three sisters-in-law - Linda O'Day, Connie Morgan and Vickie Carroll, all of Du Quoin, three brothers-in-law - Jerry Morgan of Du Quoin, Mike Morgan of Elkville and Randy Morgan of Carbondale, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters - Lucille, Mary Louise and Shirley Murry, and two brothers - Donald Quinn and Raybern Quinn.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call form 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
