Kenneth W. Stacey Jr.

Kenneth W. Stacey Jr., 55, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:51 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at the Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Kenneth had worked in maintenance at Hicks Oil Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an avid bingo player and was an organ donor.

He was born Sept. 9, 1957 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Kenneth W. and Glenna M. (McClanahan) Stacey Sr.

He is survived by one son - Craig A. Stacey of Du Quoin, his mother - Glenna Harrison and husband Roger of Du Quoin, his father - Kenneth Stacey Sr. and wife Ruby of Du Quoin, five sisters - Karen Humphrey and husband Bruce of Elkville, Missy Kelley of Du Quoin, Kelly Stacey of Du Quoin, Marcy Robison and husband Les of Du Quoin and Julie Griffin and husband Chad of Du Quoin, five brothers - Kevin Stacey and wife Carol of Du Quoin, Kent Stacey of Du Quoin, Kevin Harrison and wife Denise of Du Quoin, David Harrison and wife Cris of Du Quoin and Donnie Harrison of Texas, one granddaughter - Gentry Kristina Stacey, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister - Kris Stacey and his grandparents - Raymond and Erma McClanahan and Walter and Carrie Stacey.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin with military graveside rites being conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the U.S. Navy.

Friends may make memorials to the Kris Stacey Memorial Fund at the Du Quoin High School and will be accepted at the funeral home.
