Clara T. Majak

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clara T. Majak, 86, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:40 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Friendship Manor in Nashville, Ill.

Clara had been a data entry operator at Charles Levy Company in Chicago and retired in 1988. She was a member at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill and had also been custodian at the church. She was a member of Catholic Daughters Court 1760.

She was born Oct. 5, 1925 at Todds Mill, Ill., the daughter of John and Frances (Barnowski) Bronke, Sr.

She married Carl P. Majak on Sept. 30, 1950 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2000.

She is survived by two sons - Dwain Paul Majak of Tamaroa and Alan Karl Majak and wife Ann of West Palm Beach, Fla., one daughter - Cathy Frye and husband John of Ashley, one brother - Theodore Bronke and wife Marcella of Tamaroa, five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother - John Bronke, one sister - Mary Ann Nowakowski, and one brother-in-law - Sigmond Nowakowski.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill with Fr. Bernard C. Goedde, Jr. officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Rosary was prayed at 7:30 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery at Todds Mill.

Friends may make memorials to Masses or Heartland Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
