Leon J. Prusacki

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Leon J. Prusacki, 69, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:54 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Leon had been a farmer and a truck driver for Ryterski Trucking for six years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.

He was born Jan. 29, 1943 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Mike and Rose (Nikrant) Prusacki.

He married Connie L. George on Sept. 12, 1964 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa, one daughter - Sharon Harris and husband Andy of Tamaroa, two grandchildren - Coy Martin of Du Bois and Kaci Harris of Tamaroa, one brother - Michael Prusacki and wife Rosalie of Du Quoin, one sister-in-law - Dorothy Prusacki of Du Quoin, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters - Laverne Kabat and Bernice Nowakowski and one brother - Ralph Prusacki.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Fr. Jim VanOss officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
