Ruby Bell Slusher
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruby Bell Slusher, age 84, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 in her home.
Ruby was born on March 27, 1928 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to Harry and Emma (Volmer) Krupp. In 1944, she married Melvin "Skip" Slusher in St. Louis, Mo. and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1986. Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and worked as a tester for Decca Records, retiring after 33 years. She enjoyed fishing, word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Ruby was an animal lover and was a supporter of the Perry County Humane Society.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Carol (Kenneth) Hicks of Pinckneyville, Ill., three granddaughters, Michelle Jenkel of Fairview Heights, Ill., Kimberly (Jeff) Myer of Marion, Ill. and Lisa (Matt) McGlinn of Marion, Ill.; two step grandsons, Bill Hicks and Kevin Hicks both of Pinckneyville, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Zachery Myer and Riana and Joshua McGlinn; three step great- grandchildren, Ashley, Luke and Hunter Hicks.; two nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Lorene (Herbert) Greten, Faye (William) Bergadine, and Virginia (Earl) Flowers and one brother, Elvis Krupp.
Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
