Clarence Wesley Beaty
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clarence Wesley Beaty, age 96, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 9:50 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, Du Quoin, Ill.
Clarence was born on Jan. 22, 1916 in St. Louis, Mo. and grew up during the depression. Clarence was a son to James and Ida (Rosenberger) Beaty. He married Virginia Feldscher and after they divorced, he married Idamae Ahlers in St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Feb. 15, 1957 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2004.
Clarence was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., was an equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local #520 for over 30 years, and helped set steel at Thomas Gym and Decca Records, Pinckneyville, Ill. He kept a meticulous lawn, loved to garden, and go camping, boating, and fishing.
Clarence is survived by two children, Patricia Ann (Tom) Mullins of Coal Grove, Ohio and James H. (Doris) Beaty of Pinckneyville, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Dwayne Beaty, James W. Beaty, Travis Beaty, DeAnn Sowder, Kim Kellerman, Kent Kellerman, Donald Porter, Randy Porter, and Brett Smith; 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren; several step great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; stepson; Donald Gene Kellerman; stepdaughter, Rosalie Smith; brother and sister in infancy, Arthur Beaty and Maxine Beaty; two sisters, Juanita Daniels and Luella Lee Russell; and step grandson, Kevin Smith.
Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment was in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
