Mary Beth Holyfield

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Beth Holyfield, age 47, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:31 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital Emergency Room, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Beth was born on May 19, 1964 in Du Quoin, Ill., a daughter to William "Bill" E. and Patsy (Smith) Davis. On Oct. 1, 1994, she married Daren Holyfield in Oakdale, Ill. and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist Church, Rice, Ill. Beth loved working at the church, studying her Bible and playing Bible trivia. She was a loving mother and stepmother, a wonderful daughter and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Daren Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill.; father and step-mother, Bill and Ladine Davis of Sims, Ill.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, O.V. and Lola Holyfield of Rockport, Ind.; a son, Willie D. Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a daughter, Harley N. Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two step-sons, Daren O. Holyfield of Bonne Terre, Mo. and Billy R. Holyfield of Corning, Ark; a step-brother, Robert Hungate of McLeansboro, Ill.; two step-sisters, Deborah (Richard) Linder of Eldorado, Ill. and Karla (Chris) Mossman of Equality, Ill.; two uncles, Robert L. (La Deana) Davis of Wayne City, Ill. and Jimmie W. (Carolyn) Davis of Pinckneyville, Ill.; and numerous step-nieces, step-nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Davis and grandparents, Willie and Irene Davis.

Funeral services were held at Concord Baptist Church, Rice, Ill. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Concord Cemetery, Rice, Ill.

Friends called at Concord Baptist Church, Rice, Ill. on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
