Forrest "Frosty" Dunmyer Jr.
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Forrest "Frosty" Dunmyer Jr., age 59, of Du Quoin, Ill. passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Ill.
Frosty was born Oct. 12, 1952 in Mineral Wells, Tex., a son to Forrest and Hilda Louise (Tilley) Dunmyer, Sr. He married Mary Phillips on June 30, 1973 in Du Quoin, Ill. Frosty was a member of Gospel Assembly Church of Du Quoin, Ill. Frosty had retired from Continental General Tire of Mt. Vernon, Ill. were he worked as a trucker. He was an avid horse trader and enjoyed restoring his 1965 Chevelle, but he dearly loved spending time with his family, especially with his six grand-daughters. Frosty will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Frosty is survived by his wife, Mary Dunmyer of Du Quoin, Ill.; parents Forrest and Hilda Louise Dunmyer Sr. of Du Quoin, Ill.; three children, Niki (Larry) Alvarado of Du Quoin, Ill., Shane (Teresa) Dunmyer of Mahomet, Ill. and Kati Dunmyer of Du Quoin, Ill.; two sisters and one brother, Christy (Kim) Carter, Johnny (Rita) Dunmyer and Teddy (Rick) Taylor all of Du Quoin, Ill.; six grand-daughters, Gabrielle Alvarado, Abigel Alvarado, Lily Alvarado, all of Du Quoin, Ill., Jordan Faison of Carbondale, Ill., Terrisa Nevin and Ceirra Nevin, both of Mahomet, Ill.; mother-in-law, Jean Phillips of Du Quoin, Ill. and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Hershel Phillips.
Funeral services were held at Gospel Assembly Church, Du Quoin, Ill. on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Dennis Fitzsimmons and Brother Gaylen Holden officiating. Interment was in Old Du Quoin Cemetery, Du Quoin, Ill.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday at Gospel Assembly Church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
