Georgia G. Moritz
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Georgia G. Moritz, 69, of Pinckneyville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Georgia was born in Pinckneyville on Nov. 19, 1942, the daughter of George and Mildred S. Frazer Wolfe. Georgia married Richard E. Moritz on Nov. 24, 1960 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1987.
Georgia was retired. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville; the Class of 1960 from Pinckneyville Community High School, but now a proud Trico fan; Eastern Star; Daughters of the Nile and Pinochle Club.
Georgia is survived by her children, Bev (Homer) Bates of Ava, Mindy (Dave) Heins of Rockwood, David Moritz of Pinckneyville; five grandchildren, Emily Bates, Ben Bates, Chase Heins, Hayleigh Heins and Lawson Moritz; mother, Mildred Wolfe of Pinckneyville and two aunts, Annabell Sauer of Murphysboro and Alberta McDaniel of Pinckneyville.
Georgia was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Pinckneyville with Rev. Cindy Bean officiating. Burial followed at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
Visitation was at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Pinckneyville on Friday from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to Sandra's Comfort or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
