Donnie Dale Williams
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donnie Dale Williams, 70, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:35 p.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at his residence.
Donnie was a retired welder for the coal mines. He had also worked at Baker's Feed Bin in Zeigler. He was of the Protestant faith. Donnie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed target shooting.
He was born Nov. 19, 1941 at Dowell, Ill., the son of Curtis and Delcie Opal (Walters) Williams.
He married Claudia E. Wooldridge on Dec. 20, 1962 at Du Quoin and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2004.
He is survived by three children - Elizabeth Dawne Williams, Jeff Williams and wife Cindy and Tina Atkins and husband Travis, all of Du Quoin, five grandchildren - Seth Atkins, Brent Jacobs, Brock Jacobs, Caitlyn Williams and Reese Atkins, two sisters - Reba Woodsides and Pauline Croffard and husband David, all of Du Quoin, and one brother - Kenny Williams and wife Terri of Bush.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 11 siblings - Curtis Herschel Williams, Helen Martie, Gladys Ruby Williams, Doris Miller, Cecil Williams, Ray Williams, David Williams, Bobby Gene Williams, Glaydes Williams, Harold Lester Williams and Dorothy Jackson.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends called from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
