Clarence J. Dober
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clarence J. Dober, 103, of Coello, formerly of Tamaroa, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at the Benton Health Care in Benton.
Clarence was a retired farmer. He had worked at Erwin Greenhouse in Tamaroa for many years. He was a Protestant.
He was born Sept. 25, 1908 at Du Bois, Ill. the son of John and Katie (Miller) Dober.
He married Rebecca Moore on Nov. 7, 1935 at Pinckneyville and she preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1999. He then married Francine Branam Mason in June 2004 at Benton, Ill. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Coello, step children- Carolyn Clark of Chillicothe, Benjamin Mason of Sherman, Joan Baum of Washington and Gary Mason of Christopher, two nephews- Harold Dober of Ladd and Darrell Dober of Mendota, 15 step grandchildren, 18 step great grandchildren and eight step great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, step son- Lynn Mason, three brothers, three sisters.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Randy Allison and the family conducting the service.
Friends called from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Burial was in the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa.
