Amelia Mary Woodside

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Amelia Mary "Meachy" Woodside, age 82, of New Athens, Ill., formerly of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at 11:55 a.m. in Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Meachy was born on May 31, 1929 in DuBois, Ill, a daughter to Charles and Rose(Langa) Setzkorn. On Sept. 5, 1949, she married Elmer Woodside in DuBois, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1978. Meachy was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and worked in the dietary department of Pinckneyville Community Hospital for 30 years. She loved to play bingo, shopping and dearly loved spending time with her family.

Meachy is survived by one son, Daniel Woodside of Pinckneyville, Ill.; one daughter, Debbie ( James) Kirchhoefer of New Athens, Ill.; one brother, Charles "Bud" Setzkorn of Pinckneyville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Woodside of Mesa, Ariz., Sommer Woodside of New Berry Springs, Calif. and Ashley (Matthew) Knox of Glen Carbon, Ill.; one step-grandson, Scott Kirchhoefer of Belleville, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jacob, Griffin and Charlotte Woodside; and several dear nieces; nephews; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Nellie Dressler.

Funeral services were held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
