Mabel Irene Chancey
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mabel Irene Chancey, 95, of Lordsburg, N.M., formerly of Elkville, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the Gila Regional Hospital in Silver City, N.M.
Irene had been a homemaker. She had attended the Elkville Baptist Church in Elkville.
She was born June 15, 1916 at Hallidayboro, Ill., the daughter of Otto Elmer and Allie Dewey (Cotton) Bourland.
She married Earl Robert Rees and he preceded her in death. She then married Ralph Butler and he preceded her in death. She then married LaRue Hurst and he preceded her in death. She then married Harry Chancey and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son - Rod Rees of Silver City, N.M., one granddaughter - Ellen Rebecca Rees of Norway and one great grandson - Eivind Rees of Norway.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four husbands.
Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at the Hallidayboro Cemetery at Hallidayboro.
Friends called from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial was in the Hallidayboro Cemetery at Hallidayboro.
