Georgia Gale

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Georgia Gale, 85, of Tamaroa, passed away at 2:56 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at the Pinckneyville Health Care Center.

Georgia was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, driving, yard sales, and playing checkers.

She was born Sept. 16, 1926 at Hickman County, Ky., the daughter of John and Dessie Collins.

She married B.C. Gale on Oct. 2, 1948 at Corinth, Miss. and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1979.

She is survived by two sons - David C. Gale in the U.S. Army and Dave Joe Gale of Tamaroa, son-in-law - Leonard Wohlwend of Du Quoin, five grandchildren - Candice Gale, Matthew Gale, Mitchel Gale, Leonard Jay Wohlwend and Johnny Wohlwend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Carolyn Wohlwend and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Arven Kirkpatrick officiating.

Friends called from Noon until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
