Clarence Bernard Zoller Jr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clarence Bernard Zoller Jr., 84, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:40 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Clarence was owner and President of Du Quoin Home Lumber. He had started working at Du Quoin Home Lumber in 1947 and has been owner since 1963. He was a member of St. John&#39;s United Church of Christ in Du Quoin and had attended First Baptist Church in Du Quoin with his wife. Clarence had been a veteran of the United States Merchant Marines, serving during World War II. He was a life member of NSTRA and a life member of the American Legion. Clarence had also been on the District #300 School Board.

He was born Aug. 2, 1927 at Vergennes, Ill., the son of Clarence O. and Cora (Ditzler) Zoller.

He married Wanda E. Miller on Aug. 8, 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, three sons - Steve Zoller and wife Penny, Bruce Zoller and wife Marilyn, and Randy Zoller and wife Laura, all of Du Quoin, one brother - Ralph Zoller of Vergennes, Ill., 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother - Carl Zoller, one sister - Delores Zoller, and two sisters-in-law - Lillian Zoller and Shirley Zoller.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin American Legion and V.F.W.
