Church is selling ribs for Super Bowl parties
MARION - Community of Faith's BBQ Heroes cooking team will be at the front entrance of Sam's Wholesale Club in Marion today (Friday, Feb 1) and tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 2), to sell their incredible Super Bowl Ribs.
Over the last six years, COF BBQ Heroes team has sold between 600 and 800 slabs on Super Bowl weekend. The proceeds from the sale of their St. Louis-cut pork ribs benefit the global missions work of the Hands of Hope Foundation and their work in Medical-Surgical and Educational Relief in Liberia, West Africa and their most recent efforts in Thailand with their work battling human trafficking.
The BBQ team will be stationed outside Sam's from 10 a.m. to close Friday and Saturday or until they run out of ribs. The team sells the ribs hot and ready to eat or you can buy the precooked chilled and ready for reheat slabs. The ribs are $20 a slab or two or more for $19 each. The team accepts cash, checks and major credit cards.
