He was born to the late Donald Charles and Dorothy Ann (nee: Braun) Straight on December 3, 1957 in Red Bud, IL.

He married Linda J. Amschler on January 24, 1998 in Chester, IL. She survives.

David worked as a Receiving Manager at Rozier's Country Market in Chester, IL.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chester, IL and was a former church council and choir member.

David's wishes were to be cremated.

Visitation: Monday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, IL
