William B. Lewis
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William B. Lewis, 62, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:40 a.m., Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital at Carbondale.
William had worked as an Environmental Facility Aide at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam, having served from 1967 to 1969.
He was born Nov. 9, 1948 at East St. Louis, Ill., the son of Gilbert and Doris June (Martin) Lewis.
He married Elizabeth A. Heflin on March 30, 1981 at Salem, Ill. and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Per Mr. Lewis' request, cremation services were held. There was no public visitation or funeral.
