Merle E. Lambert

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Merle E. Lambert, of Ava, passed away at 6:12 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at his home.

He was born July 13, 1944 in Jerseyville, Ill., the son of Merle E. Lambert and Irene (Stucker) Lambert.

He married Bona Joan Camerer on Aug. 30, 1970 in Jerseyville, Ill. Bona passed away on March 10, 1994.

He is survived by his daughter, Diana Brown of Du Quoin, Ill.; grandchildren, Austin Brown, Cody Delp and Charity Goodrow; one great-grandson, Layden Delp; one brother, one sister, Phyllis Camerer of Jerseyville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Mr. Lambert served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He was a retired security guard from the Mental Health Center in Chester, Ill.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. Burial was at Looney Springs Cemetery in Campbell Hill, Ill.

Visitation was on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava.
