Inez Pauline Krone

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Inez Pauline Krone, 87, of Tamaroa, passed away at 8:05 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.

Pauline had been a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and attended St. Johns United Church of Christ in Du Quoin with her husband. She was an avid bowler and had been a member of League Bowling. Pauline had gone back and received her GED in the early 1980&#39;s. She was an avid embroiderer, quilter and NBA fan.

She was born March 13, 1924 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Winnie and Pearl (Tilley) Wilks.

She married Harley L. Krone on June 7, 1942 at Perryville, Mo. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, one daughter - Marsha Whitley and husband Gerry of Du Quoin, three sons - Paul Krone and wife Carole of Tamaroa, David Krone and wife Susie of Du Quoin and Mark Krone and wife Kathy of Du Quoin, one sister - Janet Martie of Hallidayboro, 11 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister - Gladys Ross, infant sister - Ruth Elaine Wilks, one brother - Ralph Wilks and wife Juanita, and two brothers-in-law - Bob Ross and Jake Martie.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Rich Luh officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Alzheimer&#39;s Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
