Super Sitter Babysitting Clinic

The University of Illinois Extension Office in Randolph County and Red Bud Regional Hospital are sponsoring a Super Sitter Babysitting Clinic on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Red Bud Regional Hospital in the 2nd Floor Education Room. The hospital is located at 325 Spring Street in Red Bud. The clinic will help young people ages 12 and older to be more confident and competent babysitters. Check in will be from 9:45 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The clinics will run from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Participants will learn about caring for infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, business basics, kitchen safety, nutritious snacks, basic first aid, how to be safe while babysitting, and more. Participants receive a Babysitter's Handbook, handouts, and lunch. The fee for the class is $20. Pre-registration is required by contacting the University of Illinois Extension Office in Randolph County at 618-443-4364 by June 17. Anyone needing dietary of disability accommodations to attend this event should indicate when registering.
