</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Alfred R. Thompson, 97, of Ava, passed away at 7:10 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Point with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating.
Burial followed at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation was held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Saturday from 5-8 PM and then on Sunday from 7:30 to Noon and then from 1 to 2pm at the church. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Building Fund or Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
