Linda J. Morgan

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Linda J. Morgan, 57, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:33 a.m., Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Linda was a homemaker and had worked as a CNA at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin. She was a member of the Sunfield Baptist Church. She had been a former member of the Du Quoin Eagles Auxiliary.

She was born June 17, 1953 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Roy and Lorine (Taylor) Glidewell.

She married Clifford E. Morgan on May 27, 1972 at Du Quoin and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, three sons - Shawn Stanley and wife Frances, Mike Morgan and wife Sandy and Robert Newton Morgan, all of Du Quoin, one sister - Ruth Fronek and husband Joe of Du Quoin, one brother - William Glidewell of Du Quoin and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers - James Paul Glidewell and Eddie Herschel Glidewell.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Everett Freeman officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
