Donald Ray Reeves
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald Ray Reeves, 72, of Northglenn, Colo., formerly of Tamaroa, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at his residence.
Donald had worked as an industrial engineer. He was a member of the Tamaroa Christian Church. He was a U.S. Marine veteran.
He was born Dec. 13, 1938 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Paul Franklin and Beatrice L. (Wright) Reeves.
He married Sigrid Stark on Nov. 16, 1984 at Brighton, Colo. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Northglenn, Colo., one son - Vincent Clay Reeves of Silver Thorne, Colo., his mother - Beatrice L. Reeves of Du Quoin, one grandson - Kenneth Paul Vincent Reeves, three step daughters - Karen Gray and husband Keith, Chris Pearson and husband Rick and Shirley Mesaros, eight step grandchildren, and two nieces - Lisa Maple and husband Tom and Kelly Estep and husband Eric.
He was preceded in death by his father, one son - Paul Franklin Reeves, and one sister - Patricia Long.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Arven Kirkpatrick officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion.
Friends may make memorials to Cancer Research and will be accepted at the funeral home.
