</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Billie L. Mann, age 83, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away peacefully at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Billie was born on Aug. 13, 1927 in Cambria, Ill., a daughter to Frank and Verba (Cowley) Keenan. On Jan. 20, 1951, she married Thomas P. Mann in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1978. For over 50 years Billie, along with her husband Thomas, owned and operated Mann and Sons Sporting Goods Store. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., Catholic Daughters and Theta Tau Sorority. During her younger years, she was a cheerleader and a dance instructor. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends,
Billie is survived by three children, John Mann of Pinckneyville, Ill., Shirley (David) Kelly of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Barbara (Randy) Carter of Vail, Colo.; three grandchildren, Brittany and Patrick Schimpf and Thomas Carter; three great-grandchildren, Namen Schimpf and Zoey and Avori Frazer.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Mann.
Funeral services were held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill., on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The rosary was recited at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
