Timothy John Smith

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Timothy John Smith, age 52, of Pinckneyville, Ill., formerly of Fort Atkinson, Wis., passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 6:23 a.m. in Pinckneyville Healthcare Center, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Tim was born on Nov. 28, 1958 in Waukegan, Ill., a son to Calvert L. and Jannette C. (Zewe) Smith, Jr. He had worked as a John Deere tractor mechanic for Tri-County Lawn in Murphysboro, Ill. and was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges in Pinckneyville, Ill. He enjoyed fishing and canoeing in a canoe that he had purchased as a child with his newspaper route money, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his sister, Nancy Hester of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a nephew, Logan E. Hester of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a niece, Genevieve A. Hester of Pinckneyville, Ill. and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven P. Smith.

Graveside services were held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Barnett officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
