Robert B. Emling

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert B. Emling, age 76, of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:05 p.m. in his home.

Robert was born on April 30, 1934 in Du Quoin, Ill., a son to Harry and Osa (Foster) Emling. On Dec. 4, 1953, he married Joan Shoemaker at Sunfield, IL and she survives. He was a devout Christian and was a member of the Creek Nation Church, Mulkeytown, Ill. He had worked as cutter at Country Set, Du Quoin, Ill. and was a member of the U.N.I.T.E. union. Robert was dearly loved by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Emling of Du Quoin, Ill.; a son, Stephen (Linda) Emling of Anna, Ill.; a daughter, Kathy Emling of Du Quoin, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Wright of Du Quoin, Ill. and Joyce Kujawa of Du Quoin, Ill.; two grandchildren, Shane Emling of Murphysboro, Ill. and Lauren Emling of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Emling; a brother-in-law, Ben Wright and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Michael Emling and Gary Emling; three brothers, Harry Emling, Elmer Emling and Paul Emling and a sister, Annie Emling.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Marvin Boswell and Reverend Jeff Gipson officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Du Quoin, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
