Kenneth Everett Thompson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kenneth Everett Thompson, 92, of Tamaroa, passed away at 11:35 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at the Fair View Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
Kenneth was a retired farmer. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a lifetime member of the Perry County Farm Bureau. He was also an active democrat and had been a democratic precinct committeeman. Kenneth had served as road commissioner for Rd. Dist. 1.
He was born Aug. 13, 1918 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Walter Everett and Emma Lucille (Krone) Thompson.
He married Jean Mae Noeltner on Jan. 16, 1960 at Du Quoin, Ill. and she passed away Dec. 13, 1993.
He is survived by a son- Albert Thompson and wife Kathy of Tamaroa, three granddaughters- Wendy Doerr and husband Darren of Du Quoin, Nicole Bauman and husband Andy of Tamaroa, Jill Feltmeyer and husband Damon of Tamaroa, eight great grandchildren- Jenna and Abby Doerr, Lane, Lauren and Luke Kenneth-Wade Bauman, Christian, Lillian and Collin Feltmeyer, three step grandchildren- Colby, Doug and Cara Robbins of Sesser, five step great grandchildren- Tay-Lyn, Keira, Raegan, Raef and Brody, two nieces, several great nieces & nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter- Ashley Thompson, three sisters- Helen Queen, Elmira Laggattuta and Lucille Tunica.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Mel Westbrook officiating.
Friends called from Noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial was in the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
