Eddie H. Glidewell

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eddie H. Glidewell, 60, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:46 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Eddie had worked in maintenance for pool and spa products. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin. Eddie was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War serving as a Specialist 4th. Class.

He was born March 25, 1950 at Du Quoin, Ill. the son of Roy Robert and Lorine E. (Taylor) Glidewell.

He is survived by his mother- Lorine Janello of Du Quoin, two sisters- Ruth Fronek of Du Quoin and Linda Joyce Morgan of Du Quoin, brother- William Glidewell of Du Quoin, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother James Paul Glidewell.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Graveside military rites were conducted by the Du Quoin VFW and American Legion.
