Betty J. Harvengt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty J. Harvengt, 71, of O'Fallon, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010.

She was born Feb. 22, 1939 to John and Veva Fulk.

She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Edward Jones for eight years, graduated Cum Laude from Sanford Brown College, was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis and a volunteer for the American Heart Association, Leukemia Society and Children's Hospital in St. Louis. Betty loved children and volunteered in the pre-school area at every church she attended.

She is survived by her husband Thom Harvengt; children Tom (Dyanne) Harvengt, Tim (Cary) Harvengt and Carol (David) Sanders; grandchildren, Lydia, Zachary, Valerie, Melanie, Andrew, Jessica and T.J.; sister, Leona Benbenek, and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janus Harvengt; brothers, Glen Fulk and Delmar Ray Fulk; sister, Viola Greer and her parents.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis, Mo. (2230 St. Louis Boulevard). Interment will be in Calvary of Sunset Hills Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.

Visitation was Thursday, September 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home in O'Fallon, Mo. (311 Wood Street) and Friday, Sept. 10 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis Benevolent Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
