Mabel M. Doerr Gann
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mabel M. Doerr Gann, 93, of Kingsville, Missouri, formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at Holden Manor Care Center in Holden, Missouri.
Mabel was born Jan. 26, 1917 in Union County, Illinois near Goreville. She graduated from high school in Pinckneyville. She married Karl Doerr. She later married Kenneth Gann on March 11, 1961 and moved to Kingsville that same year. Mabel loved her flower gardens and she was an avid reader. She was a former member of Order of Eastern Star and St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church, both in Pinckneyville.
Survivors include two daughters: Karla Wesseln and husband, Ed of Pinckneyville, Illinois and Beth Van Meter and husband, Ted of Kingsville; a sister, Mary Ann Lazenby and husband, Jack of Pinckneyville; a brother, Clifford Holloway, also of Pinckneyville; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a sister, Fern Milligan; and two brothers, Douglas and Carl Holloway.
Funeral Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, Mo. with Father Pete Savidge of St. Patrick's Catholic Church officiating.
Interment followed in Kingsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jay Van Meter, Brian Van Meter, Gary Morrison, Alec Morrison, Kevin Schwebel and Dale Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers were Aubrey Van Meter, Aaron Morrison and Levi Hall.
The family received friends Friday at the funeral home, one hour prior to service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Holden Manor Activity Fund or Johnson County Hospice in care of the funeral home.
