Hazel F. Corgan
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Hazel F. Corgan, 94, of Tamaroa, passed away at 6:38 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Pinckneyville Health Care Center in Pinckneyville.
Hazel had worked at Raymond Lee Grocery Store in Tamaroa for several years, Walkers Variety Store in Pinckneyville for several years and Montgomery Ward Store in Du Quoin. She had also worked at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa.
She was born Feb. 4, 1916 in Illinois, the daughter of Lucy Lynch.
She married Harry E. Corgan on Dec. 10, 1930 at Tamaroa, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1968.
She is survived by two daughters - Beverly Kreger and husband Fred of Tamaroa and Sharon Cannell and husband Robert of Fulton, Mo.; five grandchildren - Pam Valline, Scott Kreger and wife Kara, Eric Kreger and wife Crystal, Twila Collier and husband Derek and Douglas Cannell and wife Lucy; nine great grandchildren - Gavyn, Peyton, Austin, Draeden, Hudson, Kyle, Kris, Chelsea and Dustin.
She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, an infant daughter, and three brothers - Russell Lynch, Orval Lynch and Homer Lynch.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Darrell McCombs officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Friendship Church of Christ and will be accepted at the funeral home.
