Dorothy Lee Weatherford

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dorothy Lee Weatherford, age 79, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at 10:35 a.m. in Pinckneyville Healthcare Center, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Dorothy was born on March 14, 1930 in Pinckneyville, Ill, a daughter to Martin and Gladys (McClurken) Silbe. On April 16, 1948, she married John Weatherford, Jr. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2001. She was a homemaker and a seamstress for over 30 years at Pinckneyville Garment Factory and Bridal Originals. She was a member of the Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and dearly loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Jon Weatherford of Pinckneyville, Ill.; daughter, Leah (Ron) Weatherford Pawelko of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Marty (Wanda) Silbe of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Jim (Elaine) Silbe of Pinckneyville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Lori Weatherford of Pinckneyville, Ill., Kari (Rick) Forshee of Newburgh, Ind., Marty Pawelko of Chicago, Ill., and Ryan Erwing of Pinckneyville, Ill.; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Alex Hagston, Sidney Forshee and Cooper Forshee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Weatherford; and her brother, Billy in infancy.

Funeral services were held at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Lee officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Parkinson Disease Association.
