Madge Damron

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Madge Damron, age 80, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 3:23 p.m. in Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion, Ill.

Madge was born on April 12, 1929 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to Vernie and Nettie (Marlow) Bird. She had worked as a drywall finisher for Contempri Homes, Pinckneyville, Ill. for over 15 years until she retired. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and reading but especially loved spending time and playing with her grandsons.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Nils) Rurack of Belleville, Ill.; twin grandsons, Jonah and Micah Rurack of Belleville, Ill.; two sisters, Ernestine Rednour and Evelyn (Dean) Crumbacher, all of Pinckneyville, Ill. and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Orville, Paul and Norman Bird.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, January 15, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Perry County Humane Society or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
