Violet Elwanda Wright

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Violet Elwanda Wright, age 80 of Dayton, Tex., formerly of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 in Humble, Tex.

Violet was born on Nov. 1, 1929 in Blackzion, Miss., a daughter to Thomas and Nellie (Parker) Walls. On Nov. 1, 1947, she married Paul Wright and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1998. Violet was a homemaker and she enjoyed sewing and singing and was a member of the Baptist faith and of the Eastern Star. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.

She is survived by one son; Paul (Patty) Wright of Dayton, Tex., four daughters; Tammy (David) Kruse of Du Quoin, Ill., Sylvia (Randall) Shaw of Springfield, Ill., LaWanda Rose (Mark) Childs of Sparta, Ill. and Paula Jean Prochazka of Humble, Tex., 14 brothers and sisters, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter; Kathy Wright, one granddaughter; Miranda Kruse, one grandson; Paul Shaw, four sisters and two brothers.

Graveside service was held at Muller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Bauersachs officiating.

Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. was in charge of the arrangements.
