More water outages and boil orders expected throughout day

The City of Du Quoin was expecting more water outages and boil orders beginning at 7 a.m. today as work to connect water lines to the new downtown lines continues. That work was to include Adams Street to Jackson Street and Halliday Street to Madison Street. City administrator Brad Myers extended his appreciation to area residents for their patience during the work. Last week's boil orders have been lifted. At present, there are no boil orders in Du Quoin.

Also, the boil order in Imperial Heights, Huntwood, Wildwood and Lakewood Subdivisions in Pinckneyville has been lifted.
