Marching Panthers to Disney World
The Pinckneyville Community High School ÒMarching PanthersÓ left for their week long trip to Disney World on Monday, June 6. Ninety-seven students and 14 chaperones loaded the charter buses at the high school. The band will be joined by over 150 family and friends while at Disney. The ÒMarching PanthersÓ will perform in the night parade at the Magic Kingdom on Thursday, June 9th. The bands trip schedule is:
Monday, June 6th: Travel from PCHS to Warner Robbins, GA.
Tuesday, June 7th: Travel from Warner Robbins, GA to the All-Star Music Resort at Disney. Evening plans are to visit Disney Springs for Dinner and Shopping.
The Itinerary
Wednesday, June 8th: Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Fantasmic at Disney Studios
Thursday, June 9th: Magic Kingdom all day with a parade performance at 8:30 PM
Friday, June 10th: EPCOT Center Theme Park, Blizzard Beach Water Park, EPCOT Center Illuminations
Saturday, June 11th: Disney Hollywood Theme Park. Late afternoon departure for home driving through the night.
Sunday, June 12th: Late morning arrival at PCHS.
The Pinckneyville ÒMarching PanthersÓ are directed by Stephen Cannedy and Amber Nichols. New band director, Reed Recker, is traveling with the group as well.
Many thanks for the Perry County Sherifs Department and PCHS Principal Mr. Dustin Foutch for their help in getting the group away on their trip. Thanks to all the parents that helped send the band off.
