Dist. 300 board to take up 2013-2014 school calendar, academic awards and school security Thursday night

The Du Quoin Board of Education meet Thursday, Feb. 21 in regular session with the following agenda under consideration.

The administration will recognize the achievements of students and staff members.

The board will seek comment from the public.

New and unfinished business includes an update on high school construction, approval of the 2013-2014 school calendar, discussion of academic awards program for district students, and school security/safety and accessibility.

The board will enter into an executive session to discuss personnel and collective bargaining.

The board will accept the resignation of Lindsey Bush as high school assistant girls' track coach.

The board will consider the employment of personnel for the 21st Century program, extra-curricular positions and spring volunteer positions.
