Chester boys basketball conducting 'King of the Court' tournament and basketball camp

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Chester boys basketball program is conducting&#160;two upcoming events in late May and early June.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The first is a boys and girls basketball camp from May 31 to June 2 for players of all skill levels in grades 3 through 8 at Chester High School's Colbert Gymnasium.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Cost for the camp is $30 and includes a T-shirt and a special appearance by shooting instructor and well-known motivator Jim Corrona. The camp will emphasize fundamentals, ball handling, proper shooting, defense, footwork, good manners, positive attitudes, being a good teammate and respect.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Grades 3 and 4 will have instruction from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., with 5th and 6th graders from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Seventh and eighth grade's version of the camp will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The second event is a two-day, "King of the Court" 5-on-5 tournament June 3 and 4 at CHS. Entry fee is $20 per person and it is open to players age 13 and up.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Registration will take place June 3 at 9 a.m., with games to follow. Teams will be split up into divisions according to age and number of teams entered.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Each member of the team must wear the same color top. Winners will receive a cash prize, a trophy and bragging rights for a year.</span>
