Franklin County Sheriff's blotter

The following incidents were obtained from Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

April 20

A traffic stop at 8:31 p.m. in West Frankfort resulted in the arrest of Ceasaro M. Davis, 42, of West Frankfort on a charge of driving while license suspended.

Deputies responded at 9:10 p.m. to a domestic dispute in rural West Frankfort. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Lyle D. Fitch, 51, of West Frankfort on a charge of domestic battery.

Deputies at 9:39 a.m. investigated a reported domestic dispute that had occurred April 18 in rural Mulkeytown. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kaeleb A. Pedigo, 19, of Sesser on a charge of domestic battery.

A traffic stop at 10:35 p.m. in West Frankfort resulted in the arrest of Alyssa G. Tango, 23, of Mulkeytown on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

April 21

Deputies responded at 11:12 p.m. to the Old West Frankfort City Lake in response to reported underage drinking. The investigation resulted in the arrests of eight for unlawful consumption of alcohol: Austin M. Lunde, 19, of Thompsonville; Lindsay M. McClerren, 18, of Thompsonville; Trenton W. Cardwell, 18, of Benton; Matthew W. Martin, 20, of Benton; Jared C. Emberton, 18, of Thompsonville; Aubrey M. Newcomb, 20, of Benton; Noah A. Summers, 19, of West Frankfort; and a 15-year-old female who was released to parents.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in rural West Frankfort. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Richard L. Maceri, 52, of West Frankfort on a charge of domestic battery.

Deputies arrested Jeffery D. Gunter, 20, of West Frankfort on a warrant for felony theft.

Deputies arrested Henry A. Stacy, 22, of Zeigler on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine

Deputies arrested Garrett H. Beasley, 38, of Marion for failure to appear for retail theft.

April 22

The investigation of a suspicious vehicle in a rural area near Logan at 11:19 p.m. resulted in the arrest of Jacob L. Carlton, 35, of Benton on charges of felony driving under the influence and driving while license revoked.

April 23

Deputies arrested Ben E. Jones, 50, of Cottage Hills at 10:23 a.m. on an outstanding Madison County warrant for failure to appear on methamphetamine charges. Jones was arrested in the lobby of the Franklin County Jail as he had came to the jail to bond another inmate. Jones was searched incident to his arrest, and more methamphetamine was discovered on his person. He was also charged with possession of methamphetamine in Franklin County.

April 24

A traffic stop at 11:40 a.m. in Benton resulted in the arrest of Bobby E. Woodworth Jr., 41, of Mound City on a charge of driving while license suspended.

Deputies responded at 4:11 p.m. to Cleburne to investigate a reported suspicious person walking in the area. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jessie L. Hampton, 34, of Mulkeytown on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Hampton was also wanted in Hamilton County for failure to appear on methamphetamine charges.

April 25

Deputies responded at 9:17 a.m. to a single-vehicle traffic crash in Thompsonville. The investigation concluded that a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Daniel R. Mickey, 55, of Thompsonville was eastbound on Shawneetown Road near the intersection at North Thompsonville Road. The driver attempted to negotiate a left turn but failed, driving into the yard of a private residence and striking a tree. The driver was uninjured; however, he was arrested for driving while license suspended.

Deputies responded at 6:53 p.m. to a domestic dispute in rural Benton. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Bradley A. Paul, 48, of Ewing on a charge of domestic battery.

Deputies were notified at 8:21 p.m. of a vehicle fire on the Orient Blacktop near Franklin Avenue. A West Frankfort officer was on scene along with the fire department. The vehicle was a total loss, and the driver, Kimberly Jo Cantrell, 30, of Benton, was transported to a local hospital by West Frankfort Fire EMS. She will be charged with driving while license revoked. A two-vehicle crash also occurred at this incident. A 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Steven R. Psaras, 22, of Christopher was northbound and stopped at the vehicle fire to offer assistance. A second vehicle, a 2014 Chevrolet driven by Jeremy D. Minor, 33, of West Frankfort, was southbound and struck the Mailbu in a head-on type crash. A passenger in the Chevrolet, Oryanna S. Dube, 25, of West Frankfort, was injured and transported to a local hospital by West Frankfort Fire EMS. Neither driver was injured; however, Minor will be cited for driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Deputies arrested Caitlen M. Haynes, 27, of Sesser on a warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges.

April 26

A traffic incident at 12:23 a.m. in rural Benton resulted in the arrest of George E. Robles, 56, of Thompsonville for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies arrested Darian L. Miller, 23, of Belle Rive on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine.
