Sheriff's department makes three methamphetamine drug arrests in Tamaroa

Perry County Sheriff Keith Kellerman announced Wednesday that on Tuesday Jan. 22, 2014 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Perry County sheriff's deputies and members of the Perry County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Tamaroa.

Sheriff Kellerman stated the department had an ongoing investigation of meth production at a residence located 8086 U.S. Rt. 51 in Tamaroa.

During the search of the residence items for meth production and use were found and seized. Also found was over 300 grams of methamphetamine.

Arrested were: Donald Brown, 30, Tamaroa and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful production of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials.

Ashley Farrell, 21, Tamaroa and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials.

Johnny Reams, 29, Desoto and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

All three subjects were incarcerated in the Perry County Jail awaiting bond to be set. Illinois State Police assisted with the cleanup of the meth lab.

An investigation is continuing and more charges are possible, according to Sheriff Kellerman.
