Two cited after accident near Du Quoin Dairy Queen
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Two were cited following a traffic accident late last week near the Dairy Queen in Du Quoin.<br /> Du Quoin Police say the incident occurred around 12:44 p.m. Thursday, June 1 when Pamela Pursell, 36, of Du quoin was exiting from the rear of the Dairy Queen parking lot onto South Jefferson Street in a 2006 GMC SUV. Police say Pursell failed to yield to a 2008 Ford 4D, which was traveling southbound on South Jefferson Street and was driven by Angela Harris, also 36 and of Du Quoin.<br /> According to the preliminary investigation, Harris was unable to stop and struck the side of Pursell's vehicle.<br /> Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police cited Pursell for duty of due Care. Police cited Harris for failure to wear a seat belt. No injuries were reported.</span></span>
