Sparta man injured in crash

<span style="font-weight: 400;">A 19-year-old Sparta man, Brett Zander, was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Feb. 17 on Plum Creek Road.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office accident report, released Tuesday, Zander was driving a 2014 Ford south on Plum Creek Road when he reportedly passed out, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Zander was transported to Sparta Community Hospital. No citations were issued in the accident, which was reported at 10:30 p.m.</span>
