Sparta man ticketed for DUI after Route 4 crash

<p dir="ltr"><span>A 45-year-old Sparta man was ticketed for Driving Under the Influence after a single-vehicle accident on State Route 4 on Sept. 14.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office crash report, released Wednesday, Anthony Stewart was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram southbound on Route 4 when he failed to negotiate a turn onto County Road 18.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>The Ram travelled off the roadway - striking a signpost and marker post - and coming to rest down the embankment. Stewart was not injured and his vehicle was towed from the scene.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Stewart was also ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The accident was reported at 10:45 p.m. with Deputy Justin Baker responding.</span>
