Applications now being taken for local nursing scholarship

The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 Memorial Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship.

The scholarship is designed to provide residents of Randolph County with financial assistance to study nursing. Up to $1,200 will be given to a Randolph County resident who will complete an RN program of study in 2020-2021.

The prospective graduate of a LPN program will qualify for a $500 scholarship.

The school attended need not be an Illinois institution; however, it must be accredited or recognized as an approved program by appropriate agencies. The scholarship is awarded based on a written application and interview focusing on character, scholastic achievement, professional promise and financial need.
