Carbondale man injured in Route 3 crash
<p dir="ltr"><span>A 20-year-old Carbondale man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on July 16 on State Route 3 near Marys River Bridge.</span>
<p dir="ltr"><span>According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office crash report, Deangelo F. Tompkins was northbound on Route 3 an eighth of a mile south of the Marys River Bridge when the 2005 Nissan Altima he was driving exited the roadway.</span>
<p dir="ltr"><span>The Altima struck the ditch and several small trees before coming to rest in the woods on the east side of Route 3.</span>
<p dir="ltr"><span>Tompkins told responding law enforcement that he was forced off the roadway by a southbound vehicle that did not stop after the accident. He also stated that his vehicle and the southbound driver did not make contact.</span>
<p dir="ltr"><span>Tompkins was taken to Chester Memorial Hospital via MedStar Ambulance. The accident was reported at 10:02 a.m. with Deputy Shane Rinehart responding.</span>
