Sparta teenager injured in rollover

<p dir="ltr"><span>A 16-year-old Sparta teenager was injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident on June 30 on Orr Farm Road.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office crash report released Wednesday, the male juvenile was driving a 1997 Chevrolet pickup northbound on Orr Farm Road - a quarter of a mile north of Gun Smoke Road - when he lost control of the vehicle due to driving too fast on the gravel roadway.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>The pickup then left the right side of the roadway before skidding back across the roadway and exiting the left side and overturning.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>The pickup came to a rest on its wheels facing a southwest direction near a creek. The juvenile was transported to Sparta Community Hospital with unknown injuries.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>A 17-year-old passenger, Kyle Moore of Sparta, was not injured. The accident was reported at 10:04 a.m. with Deputy Shane Rinehart responding.</span>
